Zofia Lazarevic' Obituary
HERBY STARE, Poland - Zofia Lazarevic' died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at the age of 54 in her home following a short but hard battle with cancer.
Zofia lived in Columbus from 1983-1991. They then went back to Herby Stare, Poland.
Her funeral services were today at 1:30 p.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Herby Stare, held by F. Manka. She will be buried at the church cemetery. A rosary was Thursday for her.
Zofia was born June 12, 1953, in Czestochowa, Poland, to Adolf and Stefania Barc. She was married to Tadeusz L. Lazarevic' on Oct. 26, 1972, in Czestochowa, Poland. She completed all her education in Poland. Zofia and her husband came to America in 1982. They moved to Columbus in 1983. While in Columbus she worked at Vishay Dale's, Morys Havens and Bonanza.
They were members of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. She was very active in her Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Herby Stare. There she helped all the children with their first communion.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Tadeusz Lazarevic', two daughters, Gordana (Andrzej) Pasieka and Damara (Tomek) Olsewska; son, Zoran; three granddaughters, Keja Johnson, Nada Johnson, Olivia Olsewska; grandson, Arek Psieka; sisters, Janka; brother, Mirek; and all of her friends in Columbus and in Poland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adolf and Stefania Barc, who both died in 2006, an infant brother.
