ALVIN R. GIVENS

ALVIN R. GIVENS, 51, of Memphis, TN, died February 22, 2011 at Methodist University Hospital. Mr. Givens was a graduate of Carver High School. Survivors include one daughter, Manervia Givens and one son, Alvin R. Givens, Jr., both of Tucson, AZ; mother, Manervia Givens Vaughn (Sam); two sisters, Mary Jakcson (Ben) and Karen Anderson (Jimmy), both of Memphis; three brother, Pastor Eric Givens (Countess) of Memphis, Marrio Givens (Elizabeth of DeSoto, TX, and Pastor James Givens, Jr. (Gloria), of Jacksonville, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives; and his beloved friend and caregiver, Jerry Matthews. Visitation from 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 25, at N.J. Ford & Sons Funeral Home. Services at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 26 at 2nd Baptist Church, Coldwater, MS., with burial in the church cemetery.
