Oakland, TN
Anthony C. "Tony" Howell, 64, of Oakland, TN passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017. Mr. Howell was a US Army Veteran and a carpenter by trade. He loved to fish and play his guitar. Tony was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Linda Jody Howell; a son, Daniel Howell and father, Nile G. Howell. He leaves his son Chris Howell and his wife, Teresa; his mother, Martha Howell; two grandchildren, Christopher and Brooke Howell; one sister, Pam Best and brother, Kevin Howell; also one niece Michelle B. Spencer. Visitation will be Saturday, February 11 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. with service immediately following. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery.

I knew tony and his wife well. I worked for his father nile and knew his mother martha. tony and I worked together for his daddy and had a good friendship. we worked with (mort) wayne meek, steve gillem (sorry if i mispelled your last name steve). I live in st. louis mo. now but spoke with tony by phone. He could not be reached suddenly and now I know why. You will be missed tony as will your parents and wife.
