Barbara Magdovitz Obituary
Germantown, TN
Barbara Shepp Magdovitz passed away October 13, 2016 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
Barbara was born August 23, 1935 in Edgerton, Wisconsin to Sol and Jean Freyman Shepp. Growing up in Harvard, Illinois, Barbara graduated from Harvard High School in 1953. She graduated from Drake University in 1957.
Barbara married Jerome P. Magdovitz on August 7, 1957. Barbara was a wife, mother, Mee Maw, school teacher, BBYO youth advisor, and friend.
Barbara is survived by her husband; a son, Brad Shepp Magdovitz of Memphis; a daughter, Sharon Magdovitz Davis of Briarcliff Manor, New York; a son, Andrew Harris Magdovitz predeceased her in 1970; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Barbara's family can only be thankful that a woman of valor served us and her community so ably and completely and for so long.
Funeral service will be held at Beth Sholom Memorial Gardens on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 1:00pm.
Anyone wishing to make Tzedukah in Barbara's memory should consider Beth Sholom Synagogue, Chabad Lubavitch of Tennessee, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Drake University, or a charity of choice.

My condolences to the Magdovitz family. The last time I saw Barbara was at my sister Marissa's wedding. That's also the last time I saw her sister Ruth. My step mother. They will both be missed. Both sisters are now together.

We are so saddened by the loss of Barbara she was a great mother and wife and friend. she was a great advisor to our BBG chapter Finebaun We have a lot of good memories together my parents Barbara and Frank Kahn were close friends.
