I was deeply saddened this past week to learn of the death of Mr. Nettleton. I only met him in person a few times, but he was always warm, gracious, and welcoming. Jim has been one of my dearest friends for nearly 20 years, and I have to believe that his best qualities come in part from Mr. Nettleton. God bless the Nettleton Family during this difficult time. All my love to Jim and a big hello to Tommy and Johnny.

Mr. Nettleton gave me a chance to prove myself. He was my first boss, a friend and like a dad to me. I can still remember the day I interviewed for a job at National Lanes. He told me that the excuse of “I forgot” is not allowed. I did not forget. He had a handshake (if you challenged him) that will bring tears to your eyes. He believed in a powerful handshake. I started working for him back in 1978 through 1981 before he sold the bowling alley. Mr. Nettleton was an entrepreneur, an individual with his own ideas and his own style. He was one of the major influences in my life and I will miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers are with the Nettleton's.

My Mom called me this morning to let me know that Mr. Nettleton had died. I am deeply saddened. I started working at National Lanes 40 years ago last month. I was 16. Mr. Nettleton was my first mentor and had a significant influence on my life. To this day I share "bowling alley" stories with our patients and have a penchant for designing forms that we use in the office. He gave me opportunities to learn so much during my time working for him. I will forever be grateful to Mr. Nettleton.

We are saddened this morning to hear of Mr. Charlie's passing. So many memories come to mind -- the infectious laugh and mischievous twinkle in his eyes, the smell of the lanes and cigars, his love for miniature roses are just a few of my personal memories. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with your family. On behalf of the R.L. Tackett family --

Charlie was a Great Man! I will miss his sharp wit and endless humor. He shared his passion for all things with his family and friends and we all the better for it. He leaves behind a great family that I am proud to call friends. My Prayers are with them.
