To the family of Flora Higgins Williams. Flora and I were childhood friends. We first met when she was babysitting for my next door neighbor in Dixie Homes. We became instant friends. We often sat on the back steps of my mother's apt and talked for hours. I found her to be a loving, kind, caring person. Flora had the abilty to get me to go along on a lot of her escapades. For example, I went with her when she first visited the catholic church. She would always say,"man , you got to go with me", and off we would go. All of my memories of Flora are sweet. Recently, we reconnected after many years and it was as if we had never spent time apart. Flora was a good, clean, woman with a pure heart. Scripture says,"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." I plan to come to Memphis to say farewell to my friend tomorrow. With deepest sympathy, William Leon "Man" Carroll
