James Doyle Obituary

DOYLE James William Doyle, age 47, died September 8, 2004 in Mandeville, LA. Jim is survived by his children, Chelsea and Liam Doyle of Lafayette, LA, his sister, Jane Doyle of Carrollton, TX and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William F. and Ann R. Doyle of Metairie, LA and his sister Eileen Doyle Lacour of Independence, LA. Jim was born in Oceanside, L.I., NY and moved to Metairie, LA at age 7. He graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School in 1975 and he received a BS in Business Administration from USL in 1979. Jim spent all of his adult life in the restaurant industry and served as the General Manager of Prejean's Restaurant in Lafayette, LA from 1991 to 2001 before moving on to other endeavors. One of Jim's greatest joys was his work with the Lafayette Area Football Officials Association. Jim served as an umpire, referee and line judge during his three year tenure with the Association. Jim's family and friends will celebrate his life at a memorial service at Prejean's Restaurant in Lafayette, LA at 4pm on 11/20/04. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the SLU Development Foundation Eileen Lacour Endowment Scholarship, In Memory of Jim Doyle, SLU 10293, Hammond, LA 70402. Bagnell & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
