JIN KIM Obituary

Jin B. Kim, 75, former Collierville resident died November 4, 2010, at the Poplar Point nursing home in Memphis, TN. Mr. Kim was born January 10, 1935, in Korea. An accomplished marksman, Jin had represented his native country, Republic of Korea, in numerous international skeet shooting competitions, including the Asian Games and the Olympics. Mr. Kim immigrated to the United State in 1968, for better education for his children. He worked hard from the bottom up, finally building a successful heating and air-conditioning company in Memphis. He was widely respected as a generous and honest businessman, often offering his expertise in assistance to those in need in his community. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Tastu; daughters, Bok Hwa Kim and Kyung Kim Incorvati. His son, Hyun Kristopher Kim, died three weeks before him. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 18, at 7 p.m. at the Korean Baptist Church of Memphis, 9650 E. Shelby Dr., Collierville, TN 38017.

We used to live a few streets over from Mr Kim in East Memphis and he did our heating and air for years. He was a very honest and brilliant man. We send our sympathy to his family. We know he will be missed!

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Kim's passing. We had no idea that he had lost his son too...Your loss is our loss as they were always at oor home taking care of our heating and air..Daryl was helping for a long time then his son of blessed memory came to help us. Our prayers are with all the family.
