Kathy Anita Peters Walker, 62, 1973 graduate of Mitchell High School, retired Cosmetology Instructor, passed October 16, 2017. Visitation, Saturday, October 21 from 9-11 a.m. Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church, 3560 South Third Street. Burial in Memorial Park Southwoods Cemetery. She leaves a son, Barry R. Walker; daughter, Nikki Brunt; sisters, Deborah Jackson, Elgie Williams (Barfield); brothers, Ira Peters (Jenny), Howard Peters (Beverly); grandson, Kaleb Brunt, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

I would like to send my condolences to Barry and Nikki, her 2 kids, and to family. She was loved dearly, and will be missed. I really miss her, she was my god mother, I've known her for 8 years. You were a second mom to me. When you got on Rashard you would look over at me and say "I am talking to you to cause you with him in everything". I loved how you looked at me as your son too. Many days and nights you prepared us for the world with your talks and I will always be thankful . Thanks for watching out for me. Rest in Heaven
