We had our 60th Overton High School Reunion in May of this year. I attended our 40th & 50th reunions with Mike. He and I were charter members of Overton´s Office Club. The surviving Office Club members all missed him at this one! Mike loved life and we all loved Mike! Mark Whitlow, Overton `64

I am sure that Mike is sorely missed! His vibrant personality made him a standout in Medical School in Guadalajara. My husband Butch Wolff was in his class. They actually died on same day!

I can’t believe that Mike and Butch died on the same day! We were all in Guadalajara together for medical school. Butch was my husband & Mike was a dear friend. They both went too soon.

I went to the 9th grade at Colonial Junior High, Overton High School and MSU with Mike, where we both took pre-med. Mike worked hard to become a doctor and didn’t tease me too hard that I only become a lawyer. We kept up over the years and saw each other at our 40th and 50th Overton High School reunions. Most recently I saw Mike at a reception at my house 3 years ago for my mom’s passing which Mike and a few of our high school pals attended. It was like the old days for just a few magic moments that day. We parted at the door saying quietly that we loved each other, as only old friends can. I will miss him. He is with his Lord. God bless his family! Mark Whitlow

I am sad reading this this notice! Mike and I I were friends since we about six years old. I last spoke with him via telephone about a year or so! As I recall, we were in Sunday School at Central Baptist Church and later times we both attended High School at Overton. Wish I had contacted him more recently!!! Again I will pray for his soul and the family he left behind. Regards, Ronald Lee Hughes in Long Beach, MS

He was a wonderful brother-in-law with the BEST chef skills! I will miss him at the lake house & all the times he played host to “the sisters”. The ministry he gave to those trapped in the throws of addiction earned him a crown of glory in heaven. He’ll be missed forever but never forgotten

I knew Michael many years ago when he was working as a orderly at St Joseph’ s hospital. Little did I know how often we would continue to meet at Fisher celebrations. I always enjoyed talking to him. I know he was a very compassionate patient care giver. I keep you in my heart and prayers.
