Alan Bartlett Obituary

Alan S. Bartlett

Concord, NH - With deep sadness we share the passing of Alan S. Bartlett on Friday, January 16, 2026, after period of failing health.

Alan was born on November 16, 1947, to Stanley and Ann Bartlett in Concord, NH, where he lived his entire life.

He leaves his wife of 58 years, Dencie; his sons Scott and Craig; his grandson Seth and step-grandsons Brandon and Dustin Jones. He also leaves his sister Emily and brother-in-law David Chapin and their family of Lebanon, NH; his brother-in-law and wife Mark and Adele Hapgood of Manchester, NH; as well as several cousins and many friends.

Alan was a proud dairy farmer. He grew up on the farm working with his father and mother. He later worked in partnership with his sons Scott and Craig. He had a great respect for the land and his animals. He had a great love of sports, playing baseball and softball. He loved watching his sons play baseball and eventually watching Seth play baseball and hockey.

Alan had a wry sense of humor always followed by a sheepish grin that will be missed.

Services will be held in the spring. Cremation Society of NH, Boscawen office, is assisting the family with arrangements. To view an online memorial, leave a message of condolence, or for more information please visit https://csnh.com/.

I lived next door to Alan and have many fond memories of the time spent with him. Playing basketball in the barn when winter was keeping us from working outside, sledding on the big hill behind the barn, loading the trucks with bales of hay so the cows could have food for the winter. Swimming in the Suncook River with the rest of our buddies when it got too hot to do our other chores. Alan was a very hardworking man and well respected in the community!

Denci, Scott and Craig,
I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I am so grateful to know Alan and let me work on the farm during the summer of 1976. We later became friends and played golf at 4H golf tournaments. He taught me hard work by example. I have many pleasant memories of that summer. So sorry for your loss.
