Albert Earl Emery Jr.
Boscawen, NH — Albert Emery, 87, of Elm Street, died on Friday, June 3, 2022, at Concord Hospital in Concord, after a period of failing health. He was born on April 2, 1935 in Concord to Albert and Lillian (Craft) Emery.
Albert enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps in 1953, serving during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1956. Many knew Albert as "Moe".
He worked his entire life for many places around the Concord Community. After retirement, he worked as a Cab Driver for A & P Taxi in Concord. He loved being a "Cabbie" and everyone enjoyed his sense of humor. The best part of being a Cabbie was all the socializing with everyone he would give rides to.
He LOVED spending time with his growing family, especially at Family Gatherings. He loved telling jokes and sharing stories and joining in with the laughter from his audience. He was always ready to play a game or two of horseshoes at BBQs. Going out for breakfast with the family was attended and enjoyed by all. Sometimes we would take up an entire room and he loved this.
He enjoyed being on a bowling league for years, and more recently was on a league with his son, daughter-in-law, Grandson, and Granddaughters. Golfing with his sons was another favorite from Spring until Fall. He was an avid sports enthusiast, watching every Red Sox, Celtics and New England Patriots games. He had many dogs and cats in his lifetime, whom he loved each one of their personalities.
Albert's greatest love was his beloved wife, Marylou, with whom he shared almost 66 years with. In addition to his wife, Marylou (Ashford) Emery of Boscawen, he is survived by his children, Albert E. Emery III (Karen), Cindy (Stan), Leroy (Lindy), Dennis (Kathy), Carolyn (Jim), all of Concord. And, Deane (Beth) of Warner, Kevin (April) of Gilmanton Iron Works and, Lorna Henley (Ken) of Lyman, Maine. He had many Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. He never forgot a birthday and sang "Happy Birthday" to all of us on our special day. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Lovell "Lee" Emery, Richard Emery, Chester Bickford and Larry Bickford; and a sister, Arlene Heaps.
Family and friends are invited to attend a ceremony committal service with military honors taking place at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 1:00 pm.
