Anna O'Reilly Obituary

Anna Marie O'Reilly

Contoocook, NH - Anna Marie O'Reilly, 21, of Contoocook, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, July 4, 2025. She was born on June 10, 2004, in Concord, NH to her parents, Joseph P. O'Reilly and Donna M. (Phillips) O'Reilly. Anna graduated from Hopkinton Middle-High School with the Class of 2022. Believing in the value of a secondary education, she was a rising senior at Keene State University. Since starting college, Anna worked for Target at both the Concord and Keene stores, where she was a very beloved employee, friend, and coworker.

Anna was an avid runner and excelled in the sport in both High School and College. She received numerous awards for her accomplishments. Most notable and memorable was her race in Tallahassee, Florida as part of the Junior Olympics team, Granite State Flash, where her team podiumed for the first time ever for their age group.

Anna thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. She hiked numerous mountains with her parents from the age of 3. Anna also enjoyed many camping trips with her parents and cousins over the course of her childhood.

Anna was many things to many different people, she was a daughter, a granddaughter, an athlete, a friend, a student, but she will be cherished for being an extremely loving and caring person who was dedicated to her family and friends. She was loved by all who knew her. Anna was also a lover of all animals and adored her two cats, Lucy and Romeo.

Anna is survived by her parents Joseph and Donna O'Reilly of Contoocook, NH, her grandparents Lawrence and Maxine Phillips, her uncle Michael Phillips, her aunt Carolyn Phillips, all of Canterbury, NH, her great-aunt Kate Gomes of Stark, NH and her great-uncle Al Recke and her great-aunt Candice Recke of Montana. She is also survived by cousins Catherine Phillips, Jonathan Phillips, Jason Boisvert and Joel Smith. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Joseph P O'Reilly Sr. and her grandmother Lauretta Recke, as well as her Aunt Sharon O'Reilly and Aunt Donna O'Reilly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, starting at 11:00AM at 23 Mountain View Dr., Canterbury, NH. Please consider a donation in Anna's memory to a local mental health charity that specializes in suicide awareness and prevention of your own choosing.
