Daniel Moloney Obituary

BOSCAWEN - Daniel Joseph Moloney, Jr. formerly of Penacook, ended his long battle with cancer Wednesday, December 28, 2011.

He is survived by two daughters; Jennifer of Perth, Ontario and Alina of Oakland, Calif.; and will be sadly missed by his three grandchildren; Hunter, Liam and Ashton. He was brother to Brian and Patricia Moloney of Hanover, Mass.; and son of the late Katherine (Carroll) and Daniel Moloney.

He was born December 24, 1947 in Boston and grew up in Norwood, Mass. He was a graduate of Stonehill College and was a restaurant manager throughout New England with Friendly's for many years. Before becoming owner of the Daily Scoop in Boscawen in 1998 to 2006, he owned Johnson's Dairy Bar of Northwood, in 1981.

Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service Monday, January 2, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Phaneuf Funeral Home at 172 King Street, Boscawen, 603-796-2528.

His family will remain forever grateful for the kind and compassionate care he received at the Merrimack County Nursing Home for the past 6 years.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the American Lung Association at www.lungusa.org/donate.
