Diana Dennis Obituary

Diana Mae (Jutras) Dennis

Henniker, NH - Diana Mae Dennis (Jutras), age 96, of Henniker, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Concord Hospital in Concord, NH.

Diana was born in Claremont, NH, in 1926 and was the third of five children to her parents, Oliver and Rose Jutras (Gouin). She is survived by her sister, Rita Clemens of Lebanon, NH, and predeceased in death by her brothers and sister, James Jutras Jr, Donald Jutras Sr., and Irene Hughes.

Diana moved to Weare, NH, in the early 1940s and was a graduate of the Class of 1945 from Weare High School, class president, and a multi-sport athlete.

After graduation, Diana moved to Henniker, where she attended and graduated from Houle's Beauty Academy as a hairstylist. During that time, Diana moved to Henniker, NH, where she met her husband, Norman Dennis.

In 1947 the two married in North Weare, NH, at the Federated Church and remained married for 64 years before Norman's passing in 2009.

The two were active members in the Henniker community where they raised and are survived by their four children and spouses, Bonita and Curtis Crow of Bow, Michael and Angelika Dennis of Henniker, Terrence Dennis and family of Henniker, and Sandra and Carl "Rocky" Bostrom of Henniker, and grandchildren, Sean and Cara Kelley of Hampton, Stephen and Jennifer Dennis of Henniker, Jennifer and Daniel Afflick of Concord, Melanie Burr and family of Northwood, Corey Dennis of Henniker, Jayme Bland and family of Bow, Jeffrey, and Shaina Dennis of Concord, CJ Crow and Dr. Sarah Henry of Concord, Nicole and Cory Nelson of Bow, and Khiara and Sean Morrill of Weare and a total of 18 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Diana was a familiar face to many in the Town of Henniker, where she worked in the Henniker school lunch program for many years and was known as the "Lunch Lady." She later took a job at New England College, where she was the first person you would meet upon entering the Administration building. Amongst her careers, you would see Diana volunteering at Henniker Sports, helping with the financials for Dennis Builders, and managing many real estate properties she and her husband Norman owned.

Diana was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and was happiest when her large family surrounded her. Diana treasured watching her children and grandchildren compete in sporting events and activities. In addition, she enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for the family, playing cards, and reading and was forever willing to lend a helping hand.

The Dennis Family would like to express thanks to Cody Rogoz and Nicole Bibeau-Espinoza for their unconditional love, support, and care.

Funerals Services will be held on June 23, 2023, at noon in the new cemetery on Old Concord Road in Henniker.

The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service Hillsboro, NH is assisting the family.
