Dolores Moss Obituary

Dolores Joan Moss (Alsko)

Boscawen, NH — Dolores Joan Moss (Alsko) of Boscawen passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2022, at the age of 86.

Dolly was born in Washington, Pennsylvania, on May 10, 1935, to Elizabeth Alsko. Despite a difficult childhood, Dolly was cheerful and kind to everyone, and managed to excel in school and learn to take care of herself and others. In high school, she met lifelong friend Jessie DeFalco (Myriallakis).

Dolly's uncle introduced her to his navy buddy, Fred Moss, and they fell head-over-heels and were married on August 12, 1956. They enjoyed the next 64 years together, until Fred's passing in July, 2020.

Dolly and Fred had three children and two grandchildren. Her love for children showed in everything she did as a mom and grandmother. Always ready with a fun activity or a comforting word, she made sure holidays were full of love, food, and fun, and she was always there for her kids and grandkids in every possible way.

Dolly worked for the USDA as a statistical assistant and made many wonderful friends and was the fun office grandma to all of her co-workers' children.

Dolly is survived by her son Frederick Lawrence "Max" Moss IV and his wife Zee Marie, daughter Lucia (Moss) Ishii, her husband Yasuhiko and their daughter Alyssa, son Royce Moss, his wife Brittney (Reardon) and their son Connor, and sister Joanie Hurt (Cupler) and her husband Jerry.

Beloved by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.

There will be a brief internment ceremony at the Boscawen Veterans Cemetery in the spring (TBD). Friends and family will be welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. For full obituary, go to https://obits.phaneuf.net/dolores-moss-1
