Ed was a great neighbor when my wife and I purchased our first house on Carter St. I called on him often for tips when I was remodeling or fixing the house, and he was always ready to come over and help if I needed it. His son Chip and our son Sean were best friends in their pre-school and first years at Conant until we moved to East Concord. We were happy to watch Ed move up the chain of command with his hard work at the Fire Department.

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Chief Joaquin. I worked with him for many years at CFD. He was a good man and a good fire officer. His family should be very proud of him.
