This beautiful couple, Ed and Barbara McCabe, and their family welcomed our 4 children into their home as an Exchange Students with great love and dedication throughout the '70s. We welcomed their daughter in Brazil, Sue McCabe, for a long vacation season in the early '80s. This created a very big connection between our families. After that, whenever any of us had to take a trip to the US it was inevitable not to think of a trip to the beautiful state of New Hampshire to visit them. This is when exclusive trips were not made for this purpose. So even our grandchildren had the opportunity to live with the McCabe Family.
This small acquaintanceship (a few days/months in an almost century-old life) was very intense and of great learning. It allowed our Family to know and love a great American family and a wonderful American State.
We will miss them a lot, but some of the McCabes values and the New England lifestyle were transferred to the Amaral Family from the city of Sao Paulo in a not-so-distant Brazil.

I remember meeting your parents, Bob, at your wedding & when I visited your & Karen's home. I could tell that they were lovely people and I enjoyed hearing stories about the many times that you and Karen spent with them. I'm sure those memories are priceless for you both. Sending love from Houston, Val

Dear Su & Steve and Family..
Words cannot express the shock of hearing today about the passing of your parents and in-laws. We think of you and your family often and pray to the powers ... that you can overcome such a sudden loss of both parents and in laws. They treated Joyce and I and our children Brandon & Rachel like Gold years ago. They raised you with a lot of Love and Family meant everything to them both. As hurt as you both are ..we hope and pray you both find some peace on their passings ..that they are both together as they always were in Life. Stay strong.. you have a lot of people in your Lives supporting you both. Love always..The Agnews
