Edwina Stetson Obituary

ANDOVER – Edwina L. Stetson, 94, a longtime resident of Andover, died Friday, April 24, 2015, at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen following a long period of failing health. Edwina was born in Tilton on Aug. 5, 1920, daughter of Charles and Georgie (Burnham) Gilman. She and her husband Ralph lived on the Bean Hill section of Northfield for many years before moving to Andover in 1971. Prior to her retirement, Edwina was employed in the housekeeping department at the Merrimack County Nursing Home for 20 years.
She leaves her husband, Ralph B. Stetson of Andover; daughter, Susan Stetson of Andover; son, Richard Stetson of Alaska; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sister, Marjorie French of Franklin; and a nephew.
There are no calling hours or services planned. Burial will be private in Proctor Cemetery in Andover.
The William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ralph, I'm very sorry for your loss. Your wife was one of the nicest people most of us have ever met. You were one of my finest mentors in life and she and you were meant to be as two peas in a pod.
