Eric Barbasso Obituary
Pittsfield, NH — Mr. Eric V. Barbasso, 53, of Pittsfield, entered into eternal life at the Concord Hospital on January 19, 2022 after a short illness.
Born in West Islip, New York, Eric was the son of the late Salvatore and Krystal (Hoffman) Barbasso and stepson of the late Virginia Barbasso. He was raised and educated in Port Jefferson and Long Beach, where he spent most of his life before moving to New Hampshire 20 years ago.
For the past 17 years, Eric was employed as a robotic technician and IT specialist for Micross Industries.
He was an active communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Pittsfield and was a member of the Pittsfield/Northwood Council # 11606 Knights of Columbus, where he served as Financial Secretary. He also served as comptroller for the Concord Assembly #627 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.
An avid outdoorsman, Eric enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting and camping. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding.
In addition to his parents and stepmother, Eric was predeceased by his brother, David Barbasso.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ellen L. (Ruh) Barbasso of Pittsfield, his brother, Adam Barbasso of Long Island, NY, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, and countless friends and colleagues.
Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, January 23rd from 1 to 4 P.M. in the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 24th at 10 A.M. in St. Joseph's Church, 844 1st New Hampshire Turnpike in Northwood. Burial will take place at a later date. I was sitting at work thinking about gun stuff and then I remembered a memory I had with you... Went to check up on you now and realized you aren't here with us anymore. I won't forget who inspired me to get into gun ownership (and took me to shoot his weird guns haha). I wish I got to see you again, rest in peace my friend.

Mrs. Barbasso. It is with heavy heart and great sadness that I find myself writing this. I am an old high school friend of Eric's from Long Beach and guitar student of his brother Adam. I only have found memories of him. Let not your heart not be burdened with sorrow. For he is no longer suffering and in pain. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family during a most difficult time. This how I remember him......

I'm so sad I won't be seeing Eric at work everyday anymore. He made me laugh on countless occasions and I'll always cherish the many many conversations we shared about our faith, conversion and our experiences with RCIA. He told me once that everytime someone prays the Rosary that Mary brings another soul from Purgatory into Heaven. I have a Hail Mary card on my fridge that he gave me last year, I will always think of him every time I see it. Rest in the sweetest peace, Eric.

I will always remember Eric as my Fire Department Brother 'Troll'. he always made me laugh with his mohawk hair cuts, and always kept me laughing at my shop when he would come and visit. RIP my Brother.
