Ernest Elliott Obituary
Franklin, NH - Ernest "Bub" E. Elliott, 86, of Franklin, NH, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025.
He was born and raised in Franklin, NH, on January 1, 1939, the son of Forrest E. Elliott and Lydia G. (Masse) Elliott.
Bub attended Franklin High School (class of 1957). He served in the Army Reserves. He ran heavy equipment and was also a truck driver hauling various commodities. During his retirement he drove a school bus for First Student.
He enjoyed music, dancing, snowmobiling and motorcycle riding. He was an active member of the Franklin Elks Club Lodge 1280. He was also a member of the Andover Snowmobile Club and operated the Tucker Sno-Cat grooming the trails. He especially enjoyed attending events for his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father in 1949, his mother in 1991, and his sister, Gertrude Geary in 2016.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Elsie (Tootie) Sawyer of Concord, NH, his brother, John Hemeon, of Rumney, NH, his sons, Ernest (Doris) Elliott III of Hill, NH, John (Tammy) Elliott of Andover, NH, Edward (Charlotte) Elliott of Cape Coral, FL and daughters, Linda (Matthew) Shaw of Salisbury, NH and Brenda (Paul) Scully of Leesburg, FL along with several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be on Friday September 19th from 4 pm - 6 pm with a service following from 6 pm - 6:30 pm at the Thibeault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin Street, Franklin, NH.
