Eugene Ladd Obituary

PITTSFIELD – Eugene "Gene" W. Ladd, 79, died Sunday, April 19, 2015, surrounded by loving family at his home on Webster Mills Road.

Born in Castine, Maine on August 28, 1935, Gene was the son of Fredrick and Arlena (Black) Ladd.

Mr. Ladd was a US Army veteran, serving for two years until his discharge in 1957. He worked for the L. K. Ladd Co. as a logger and heavy equipment operator.

Gene loved family and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also volunteered as a Cub Scout Leader for Pack #84 in Pittsfield.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dawn (Nightingale) Ladd of Pittsfield; 4 children and their spouses, Darlene Pike and Gordon of Chichester, Eugene Ladd and Robyn of Epsom, Arlena Merrow and Terry of Londonderry, Vt., and Beatrice Perlupo and Michael of Pittsfield; grandchildren, AmySue White, Rebecca Dawn Merrow, Miranda and Angela Perlupo, Emily Dawn Pike, Joshua Perlupo, and Derek and Austin Ladd; great grandchildren, Caleb Drew and Tucker and Reagan White; siblings, Edward Ladd, Janet Limburner, and Judith LeBel, all of Brooksfield, Maine; his godson, Richard LeBel; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Friday, April 24th at 11 a.m. at the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home, 1217 Suncook Valley Hwy. in Epsom. Burial will take place at a later date and at the convenience of the family.
