Frederick Pitman Obituary
Portsmouth, NH — F. Judson "Jud" Pitman, 69, of Portsmouth, the eldest child of the late Frederick V. and Janet (Sanderson) Pitman, lost his courageous and tenacious battle with pancreatic cancer at his home on Friday, March 18, 2022. He was surrounded by his new bride Charlotte Carley, his brothers Richard and his wife Patricia and Stephen and his wife, Katherine and his sisters Susan and Mary. Jud never lost his positive attitude and drive to beat this horrible disease.
Jud was born in Portsmouth and raised in Hollis, NH but always migrated back to the seacoast he loved so much. Some of his favorite times were spent writing, painting, sailing, bicycling and walking to his favorite coffee shop discussions.
Further achievements, family stories and memories will be shared at a celebration of Jud's life at 1 PM on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at 411 Middle St., Portsmouth, NH. Parking is available on-street or at the Masonic Temple public lot on the corner of Middle St and Miller Ave. Arrangements are by the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home - Crematory, Hampton. I have such fond and wonderful memories of the Pitman family, the best neighbors we have ever had! My heart aches for Jud's family - a loss at such a young age.
I regret being unable to attend the memorial service, but surely you will be in my thoughts.
