George A. Carr

Barnstead, NH — Mr. George A. Carr, 87, of Barnstead, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Pleasant View Center in Concord.

He was born on February 16, 1935 in Barnstead, NH, son of the late Fred and Vida (Littlefield) Carr. He resided in Barnstead and Pittsfield most of his entire life. He was known affectionately as "Bud" or "Buddy" to many friends and family over the years.

An honorably discharged veteran, George enlisted in the United States Army and served his country between 1956-1962.

He pursued a craftsman career in the metal industry, where he was employed by Drolet Sheet Metal.

George was a member of the New Hampshire American Legion Post # 75 for 33 years. He enjoyed woodworking and one of his favorite pastimes was making homemade fudge and baked beans for family and friends.

George was predeceased by his wife Barbara (Bousquet) and is survived by his children Russell, Leonard and Thomas Carr, his brother Warren, Daughter in Law, Stacey and granddaughters, Alyssa and Nicole.

Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, April 2nd from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. in the Roan Family Funeral Home-Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom.
