George Morehouse Obituary

DEERING - George D. Morehouse, 66, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at his residence surrounded by family and friends.



Born in Everett, Mass., he has resided in Deering for the past 12 years. He was the son of Clarence and Katherine (Oland) Morehouse. Mr. Morehouse had been employed as a rural letter carrier with the United States Post Office. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the United States Navy.

An avid outdoorsman George enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of the Andover Fish and Game club and a life member of National Rifle Association. He was also an amateur radio operator for over 30 years.

Members of his family include his wife of 48 years, Linda Morehouse of Deering. Two children, Heather Lee Rowe of North Sutton and Stewart Gordon Morehouse of Loudon. Three grandchildren, Nicholas Rowe, Brendan Rowe and Abigail Morehouse.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Oct. 28, at 10 a.m. at Congregational Church of Goffstown.

Internment services with Military Honors will follow at 3 p.m. in the N.H. State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Goffstown Congregational Church, 8 Main St., Goffstown, NH, 03045, Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
