Georgette Daugherty

Bow, NH - Georgette Daugherty passed away on June 20, 2023. She was 95.

She was a church choir soprano soloist, Professor and Senate member at MDCC now known as Miami Dade College in Miami, and in New Hampshire was Bow Recycle Committee Chair, Volunteer at St Paul's Food Pantry, YMCA Bicycle Club enthusiast, choir member in several churches, National Guard Cookie Lady, making sure that no National Guard member left for another country without knowing that the community cared, provider of care kits for missions in Haiti and Jamaica, provider of kits and school supplies for Webster House children and most recently Skatepark Grammy, the person who encouraged the skateboarders in their activities and help organize them to advocate for and fund the skateboard park. One of the first women to be allowed in Harvard classrooms as a Radcliff student, she continued to be one of the best in everything she tried.

She leaves her sons and daughters, Mileva and Eugene Loo of Bow, NH, Valory Greenman of Miami, Florida, and Woody and Barb Daugherty of Cape Coral, Florida, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and partners, David, Jessica, Michael, and Ethan Loo of Wayne, PA, Ilima and TJ Thompson of Metuchen, NJ, MeiLing, Brett and Noa Boland of Bow, NH, Chris and Kate Loo of Hooksett, NH, Jena and Phil Hammond of Canberra Australia, and Shanon Greenman of Los Angeles, CA.

She also leaves behind so many she touched in so many ways. We are grateful to her caregivers, friends, and annexed families for everything they are and do. Her legacy of giving to others will be continued by you all. Every time you do something kind, give of your money, time, and things, think fondly of this woman and know you continue to make the world better, one gift at a time.

Her memorial service will be at Bow Mills United Methodist Church, 505 South Street, Bow, NH 03304, on July 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM. If you care to support her favorites, please give to the Concord Skateboard Park, St. Paul's Food Pantry or Bow Mills United Methodist music program.
