Donald Dale Daugherty

Donald Dale Daugherty, of London, Kentucky, was born on September 13, 1936, in Laurel County. He was the beloved son of the late Floyd Daugherty and Mausie Angel Daugherty.

He is survived by his cherished grandchildren, Emily Daugherty, Chase Daugherty, and Chandler Daugherty; one precious great-grandchild, Emerson Truitt; two loving sisters, Gladys Bates and Alice Proffit; special nieces and nephews, Reena Bates, Brian Bates and wife Sandy, Trent Daugherty and wife Wendy, and Donna Howlett; along with a host of other nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Floyd Daugherty; two brothers and two sister-in-laws, Herbert Daugherty and wife Billie, David Daugherty and wife Geneva; a brother-in-law, Eddie Proffit; and a nephew by marriage, Ronnie Howlett.

Dale was a faithful member of Swiss Colony Baptist Church. He retired after over 25 years of dedicated service with Kroger in London. He had a deep love for the outdoors and took great pride in his home, especially his yard, which he kept immaculately manicured-a true reflection of his care and attention to detail.

Donald Dale Daugherty departed this life on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 89 years, 4 months, and 25 days..

The funeral service for Donald Dale Daugherty will be conducted at 1 pm Wednesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jake Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Swiss Colony Cemetery in London.
The family will receive friends beginning at 11 am Wednesday until the funeral hour of 1 pm at Bowling Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Jake Brock, Rick Brown, Paul Dick, Kyron Disney, Rick Moore, and Dhaigun Stogstill.
