Gerard Brochu Obituary

Gerard P. Brochu

Loudon, NH - Gerard P. Brochu, 86, of Loudon, passed away on March 28th 2025.

He was born in Concord, NH to the late Henri and Lucia Brochu.

He was a graduate of Concord High School. He served four years in the Air Force and retired from the Concord Post Office.

Gerard was an accomplished athlete. He played in the 1957 Shrine Football Game, played hockey and was a softball pitcher.

Gerard was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an amazing cook and made many dinners for the K of C and church suppers. He also was a volunteer for the bereavement committee at Christ the King and St. Vincent De Paul.

He was an avid Boston sports fan and never missed watching his beloved Patriots. He enjoyed landscaping and tree trimming and enjoyed traveling with his family all throughout the US, the Caribbean and Europe.

Gerard was predeceased by his loving wife, Ann (Prendergast) Brochu; 4 sisters and 4 brothers.

He is survived by his daughter, Maureen Brochu of Loudon; son Peter Brochu and his fiancée Laurie of Rochester; 2 grandsons, Cameron and Liam and his wife Heidi; and many nieces and nephews.

A visiting hour will be held on Saturday, April 5th from 9:45 to 10:45 at Christ the King Parish, 72 South Main Street, Concord.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 AM at Christ the King Parish.

Burial will be in the Blossom Hill Cemetery, Concord.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Christ the King Parish Food Pantry, 72 South Main Street, Concord, NH 03301

Gerard was a kind and generous man who will be loved and missed by all who knew him.

My sincere condolences to Maureen and Peter. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend. Remember many fun get togethers with Gerard and Ann. Great cook and had a beautiful singing voice. I will always be thankful for him singing the Ave Maria at my son´s wedding . So happy he got to experience the wonderful trips he and Maureen got to enjoy ! RIP Gerard.
