James L. Scovil

Deblois, ME — James "Jim" passed away peacefully in his sleep at home after fighting many years of poor and debilitating heath. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Scovil, who cared for him threw it all and never left his side. He is also survived by his sons James Chriss of Davenport FL, James Lloyd Jr. Of Harrington ME, Daughter Pamela Ann of Howard SD, 2 brothers Donald and Ronald, 2 sisters Georgette and Beverly, 5 grandchildren Pamela, Martin, James Mathew, James Lloyd III, Adam Brandon and 3 great grandchildren Arthur, Mariah, and Michael.

He was Bows 1st full time fireman. In his spare time he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He proudly served Bow for 35 years. A celebration of life will be held Oct. 23, at the Bow fire department The Fire department will have an open house from 2-4 to honor Jim. Everyone is welcome to come exchange stories and pay respects. 7 Knox rd. Donations to the Bow fire department are appreciated.

Jim was a great friend for many years when we both lived in Bow. I met him when I was 15 and joined the Bow Fire Department but sadly lost touch when we both moved away. He was dedicated to his family at home and at the fire department. I'm very sorry for your loss.
