John Rand Obituary
Delta Junction, AK — John L Rand, 77, passed away peacefully in Fairbanks AK on Friday December 17, 2021. He was born Jan 21, 1944 in Concord NH to the late Wesley and Pearl Rand.
He is preceded in death by his brother Walter Rand, Wesley Rand, and sister June Rand.
He is survived by his wife Carol (Phelps) of 58 years, sisters Wendy Beard and Marjorie Cilley, 3 children Heidi Larsen of Lebanon MO, Shawn (Amber) Rand of Delta Junction AK, and Matthew (Alison) Rand of Versailles KY, 11 grandchildren: Jared Cramer, Cody Larsen, Ty (Keelan) Larsen, Philip Rand, Nathaniel Rand, Elizabeth Rand, Zac Rand, Samuel Rand, Emily Rand, Wesley (Hannah) Rand, & Jacob Rand and 2 great grandchildren: Shawn & Stetson Rand.
John worked majority of his life as a farmer and mechanic and retired from the Union Pacific Railroad.
Even in retirement he never stopped working, he would always help others with odd and end mechanical jobs. He was loved by all who truly knew him...he will be missed.
Celebration of his life will be done in later date.
