Judith "Judy" Clark
Chichester, NH - Judith Mary Clark, affectionately known as Judy or Mrs. Clark, was born on October 5, 1942, in Concord, NH. She passed away at the age of 83 at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Judy was a cherished resident of Chichester, where she lived a life filled with love, dedication, and service to her family, friends, and community.
Judy, a proud graduate of Concord High School's class of 1960, furthered her education at Westbrook Junior College of Portland, ME earning an Associate's Degree in 1962. Subsequently, she took education courses at NHTI and SNHU, setting the foundation for her lifelong dedication to the field of education. Judy's career in education began at the Superintendent of School's Office, SAU #8 from 1964 to 1970, followed by a distinguished tenure at Chichester Central School from 1977 to 2024. She served as a paraprofessional for 24 years, a substitute teacher for 10 years, and as a secretary to the Chichester School District Board for 35 years. Her commitment to education was a testament to her smartness and dedication, shaping many young minds throughout her career.
Judy was a woman of many loves. From her home, family, friends, to her cats, flowers, and the serene Suncook Lake, Judy embraced life with joy and gratitude. She was a regular at the Winnipesaukee Yacht Club and cherished the holiday season, especially Christmas, where she took great pleasure in buying gifts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a fantastic hostess, always ensuring her family felt welcomed and loved.
In addition to her parents, Oscar and Gertrude (Akerman) Parenteau, Judy was predeceased by her brother, Briand Parenteau.
Members of her family include her husband, A. Allan Clark of Chichester; sons, William "Bill" Clark and his wife, Mary of Chichester and John Clark and his wife, Darcy of Northfield; grandchildren, Rachel Clark of Chichester and Jack Clark of Northfield; step-granddaughter, Kaylie Hickey and her fiancé, Chris Gauss of Allenstown; step-great grandchildren, Cameron and Noah Gauss; sister-in-law, Catherine Ferriera Parenteau of Albany, NY and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm at the Roan Family Funeral Home-Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Hwy, Epsom. Judy will be buried at the Leavitt Cemetery in Chichester at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your local SPCA or library.
