Linda Burns Obituary

Linda Marie Burns

Tilton, NH -

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Marie Burns on March 16th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A resident of Tilton, New Hampshire since 1974, Linda grew up in Needham, Massachusetts and began her career working at William Carter Company where she would end up meeting her loving husband of 51 years, Frank. In addition to raising her two sons, Linda spent most of her career working for the State of New Hampshire Court System in several progressive leadership roles. Linda was an avid member of the local community and enjoyed spending time volunteering with town elections in Tilton, NH for many years.

Linda was predeceased by her parents Alfred and Mary-Kay DeIulio of Needham, MA, and her brother Alfred DeIulio of Dedham, MA. Linda is survived by her sister Rosemarie Valentino and husband John Valentino; of Bourne, MA; brother Michael DeIulio and wife Annie DeIulio of Plymouth, MA; son Frank Burns and wife Elisabeth Burns, their children Natalie and Ryan Burns of Fairview, TX; son Michael Burns and his wife Kimberly Burns of Scarborough, ME; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, all of whom she loved very much.

Whether it was walking along the beach or simply sitting on the rocks looking out at the sea, Linda was happiest when she was by the ocean. She loved gathering family and friends at the family cottage in Onset, MA and also spending time with her girlfriends during their yearly trips to the Maine coast. A caregiver by nature, Linda loved big family Thanksgiving traditions as well as taking care of family members in need. Linda will be missed by many and will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

A funeral mass will be held on April 4th at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Church, 1360 Highland Ave, Needham, MA. Interment will be immediately following at Brookdale Cemetery, 86 Brookdale Ave in Dedham.
