Linda Hutton Obituary

Linda Sue (Gandy) Hutton was born Dec. 12, 1946, in Lufkin, Texas, to the late Effie Nola (Poole) and W. E. "Edd" Gandy, and died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at The Joseph House.
Ms. Hutton was a longtime resident and legendary local of Concord, moving back to Texas just six months ago to be with family. She was proud of her Texas heritage but she had a deep love for New Hampshire.
She was a highly recognized realtor in the Concord area. She was known to say, "They say if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life!" Ms. Hutton was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed boating, snow skiing, water skiing, flower gardening and traveling. In earlier years she was known for being an artist and creative writer.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Elaine Gandy of Lufkin, Texas; nieces, nephews and spouses, Chari and J.R. Riggs of Waynesboro, Ga., Buddy and Garie Lea Gandy of Bald Hill, Texas, Lesa and Jim Bailey of Colleyville, Texas, Donnie and Julie of Waynesboro, Ga., Donna and James Smyrl of Lufkin, Texas, Danita Gandy and Bret Kimbro of Lufkin, Texas, Mike and Vickie Gandy of Huntington, Texas, Matt and Janette Gandy of Broaddus, Texas; her treasured caregivers and friends, Margie Gandy and Alex Bonner; caregiver and great-niece, Whitney Randall; her friend, caregiver and business partner, Melanie Mattson Anukem; and her spoiled feral cat that moved from New Hampshire with her, Scottie Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Billy Charles and Betty Gandy; and her best friend, Jean Dineen. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staffs of Affinity Hospice and The Joseph House.

I am so sorry to hear of Linda's passing. I hope you know how much Linda was loved by all who knew her. I met Linda when she helped me find my home in 2002, and we remained friends since that time. She will be missed so much.

We met Linda (& Melanie) a few years back when we were looking for land to buy. Such a dedicated, down to earth & personable woman. A real go getter! She shared her wit & wisdom on many occasions. It was a pleasure to have known her.
