Concord, NH - Linda L. Strand (78) beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister died February 24, 2024, at home with family by her side.

Linda was born June 14, 1945, to Lester and Myrtle Retrum of DeKalb, Illinois. She attended DeKalb schools graduating in 1964, then attending Northern Illinois University, also graduating from Elgin School of Cosmetology. Later in her career she obtained her Illinois Realtors license and served as President and board member of the Dekalb Realtors Association.

She was married to Charles W. Strand in 1967 and raised 3 wonderful children Christine, Jennifer, and Steven. The family moved six times related to Charles's work , eventually moving in 1991 to Concord, NH. While living in Concord, Linda was a Deacon of the First Congregational Church and served as a board member plus operating their Food Pantry for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 21 in Concord.

She enjoyed gardening, and traveling to all 50 states, 9 foreign countries, and numerous Caribbean islands. Her favorite time was with her 4 grandchildren Jackson, Derek, Lily, and Ethan whether it was fishing, boating, swimming, shopping, or parties!

She is survived by her husband Charles, son Steven, daughters Jennifer and Christine, Son in-law Jamie Royer and Daughter-in-law Sasha, brother Richard, and sister-in-law Sharon Retrum of Dekalb. Sister-in-law Darlene Davis of Waukesha, WI. Her favorite shopping niece Diane, and Rob Hart Monroe Center, niece and nephews Mike and Judy Retrum, Bloomingdale, IL. Diana and Steven Kleber Waukesha, WI. Kathy and Rick Walker, Richland OR.

She is predeceased by her parents, in-laws Roy and Harriet Strand, niece Debbie Davis, and infant grandchildren Dylan and Julia Strand.

SERVICES: Visitation will be held at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 172 King Street in Boscawen on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 12-1pm, with a Funeral Service immediately following at 1pm.
