I was shocked to learn that Butch has passed away. Through the years I have lost touch and had no idea he was not well. I remember fondly the good times at the fairs and at Junior Leaders gatherings. We were blessed to have such wonderful experiences as young people. May he rest in peace. God's blessing to you all.

Butch has always been someone special in my life and I will miss him very much. I spent many years on the farm and learned so much from everyone there. When I talked about Butch I have always described him as the toughest man I know, as he worked through so much that would have put an average man down. I hope he can now be in peace.

I have such great childhood memories of Butch, his Dad, Lloyd, Uncle Fred and Uncle Jack and my Dad, Morris at Deerfield Fair. Butch and Geotge always clowning around. I remember coming to help Butch when he was first sick (at least 40 years ago). He wasa great trooper and fought all odds of living a long and productive life. He is now free of pain and can rest in peace. God Bless!!

Sorry to hear about Butch. I always liked to talk to him when we were in school or later in life. My dad really liked to talk lumbering with him whenever they met.
