Mark Gazaway Obituary
Asheboro, NC — Mark Miller Gazaway, 92, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Randolph Hospice in Asheboro, NC.
Born July 2, 1929 in New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Eugene Doyle Gazaway and Alice Davis Gazaway.
Mark served 27 years with the United States Air Force where he was stationed in both Korea and Turkey. He later served as a recruiting officer until his retirement. Mark and his wife Martha owned a Coin business in both Asheboro and New Hampshire until his retirement two years ago.
Mark is survived by his wife of 45 years, Martha Padgett Gazaway; daughters, Darlene (David) Clark, Patricia (Paul James) Ahern, Janet Good, Sharon Gazaway, Katheleene Abood, Marka (Gary) Wintle and Carol (Charlie) Hood; step-daughter, Cathy (Terry) Snow; 17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and siblings, Dan Gazaway (Marion) and Faith Trollinger. Mark was predeceased by his parents, daughter, Debra Jane Gazaway; step-daughter, Sue Ann Cranford; and siblings, Doyle Gazaway Sr, Paul Gazaway, John Gazaway, David Gazaway, Priscilla Gazaway.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Faith Tabernacle Church, 164 E Side Dr, Concord, New Hampshire.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Randolph Hospice Home, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC and/or Children's Leukemia Funds.
