Mary Poole Obituary
At a young age she met Robert W. Poole, Sr. and married in 1947. They lived most of their lives in Contoocook operating the Poole dairy farm for more than fifty years. Though she never worked outside of the home, she raised six children on the farm.
She was predeceased by an infant grandson in 1974, her father, Carl in 1972, mother, Evelyn in 1989, her husband, Robert in 2003 and her only sibling Dorothy Boutwell in 2018.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Poole, Jr. of Boscawen; David Poole of Contoocook and John Poole (Tracey) of Warner; three daughters, Gloria Tolman of Johnston, SC; Margaret Hill (Bill) of Contoocook and Mary Bailey (Tim) of Boscawen. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
The Holt-Woodbury Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Henniker, NH is in charge of arrangements.

I met Mary when she lived in Warren NH, she an Bob lived just down the road an we became friends. I will miss her warm smile an her ability to tell it like she saw it, that’s what I admired most about her. She will be greatly missed.

My thoughts and condolences to the entire Poole family. I grew up just down the road from the Poole Farm and was friends with Mary and Peggy. Your Mom and Dad helped save my Dad's life one night when he had a horrifying car crash in front of your home around the year 1960 when I was a young child. Thinking of all of you. By the way unbeknownst to me until reading your mom's obit, I now live about a 35-40 min drive from Gloria- small world.
