Concord, NH - Melanie Ann Young (62)
Melanie was born in Brunswick ME, to John Young and Lois Young on February 15, 1962. She passed away on May 29, 2024 at Concord Hospital, after a period of failing health.
Melanie grew up in Bowdoinham ME, Southbridge MA, Beaver Falls PA, and Amesbury MA where she attended Middle School and High School contributing her talents as an excellent flute player to their bands. She also quickly learned saxophone when AHS jazz band needed a tenor sax player.
She attended Deaconess School of Nursing, the University of Florida, and the University of Vermont, earning a double Masters in Public Health and Nursing. Melanie lived in Newport, VT for years, working at North Country Hospital, before relocating and making Concord NH her home. Melanie enjoyed a wonderful career in women's health and nursing, always helping others. She loved helping all her patients at the Family Health Center in Concord, and her time with the Visiting Nurses Association. Melanie enjoyed hosting game dinners and family gatherings at her home. She was a wonderful chef and baker and loved gardening, travel, and animals. She was very clever with sewing and crafts and always displayed a tree of Angels at Christmas.
Melanie was predeceased by her brother Michael Young. She is survived by her daughter Melissa Young-Wiano, her father John Young, mother Lois Young, brother Edwin Young, sister Joanne Clever, and her former husband Warren Davis. Niece's Samantha, Cassandra, Stephanie, Julia, Elizabeth, great Niece Julia, great nephew's Jack and Finn.
May she fly high with the Angels forever.
Family memorial activities will be private.

Oh Sista. My We met at the FHC long ago and became instant friends. So many laughs at work and eating sushi and always a blast at your tacky Yankee swap parties at Christmas. Amazing what people fight over. Thank you for loving me and so many others. Always in my heart.

Melanie is a beautiful cousin. I remember candlepin bowling with her Massachusetts when I was a little kid. It was great fun. I offer my condolences to Melissa and to the rest of the family. Rest in peace, Melanie.
