Although time has passed, I will never forget the friendship I developed with Chief Connor while with the New Hampshire State Police. His demeanor and caring devotion were unique attributes to such a great man. I so very much enjoyed spending time with him, and including him for training seminars. He will forever be remembered.

Papa, thank you for visiting me everyday in a form that symbolizes you. You are missed so very much but every morning when I pray, there you are. I love you so much and wish you were here with us but I know you are wear you want to be, no pain, no suffering. Like you always said, "there's nothing like heaven, once you get there you don't want to come back." You deserve the best of the best and I'm happy that you are happy. I'm trying really hard not to feel lost, that's why your signs mean so much. Until we meet again.

I never knew any other man who loved Jesus as much as this man did! I have no doubt as to where his soul is today and forever. I am personally going to miss you phone calls each and every birthday and Easter for the past 30 or so years. Thanks for being a real friend. You are missed and loved.

There's no one quite like you, a saint in all our eyes
You truly made us better by wearing no disguise
Only words of encouragement of what tomorrow brings
Papa, you had your halo before you got your wings.

You never let us down, always good to all
Ready with open arms to catch us when we fall
No judgement in your voice or disappointment on your face
For inside of your heart and soul, we all have a special place

Your appreciation for us is returned to you times ten
Teaching us to look ahead while remembering where we've been
Without you by our sides, who knows where we would be
You opened up all our eyes enabling us to see

And when the night is cloudy, when sky's are a bit too gray
We'll remember every moment and won't forget to pray
We all will miss your bear hugs, your stories and watching the game
But we are all pieces of you and that will never change

So I'm not saying goodbye, I know you are always here
not being able to hold you close is the biggest thing I fear
We will all cry at times and miss the moments together
Our love for you is endless, our circle is forever...
Thank you Papa for being with us today as we all said goodbye to you r hugs, kisses and seeing you but I feel you with me, helping me be strong for Mimi. Please give her the same peace you have given me. Until we meet again.

Dear Papa, I miss you so much and I cry because you aren't there to visit everyday. Mommy said life is just the time we prove ourselves to God and then I spend eternity with you and Papa Jody. She says it only feels like a day to you but for me it seems like forever. I'm scared to live without seeing you everyday. We can't play cards we can't read books and we can't eat Popsicles. Lakelyn keeps asking to come see you but mommy told me she doesn't understand.. She told me hat you are my angel now and I'm lucky to have so many. She said you can see me all the time and I'm glad except when I'm in the bathroom so I want you with me all the time except when I'm going to the bathroom. I love you papa.
Love, Madora oh wait. Who's going take me to Wendy's after church? Answer back if you have an iPhone in heaven.

My sincere sorrows go out to Barbra and Cheryl and the Conner family on the recent passing of "The Chief". I met him in 1977 and worked for him in 1985, he was not only my best boss but my best friend and mentor. After retirement we linked up in Daytona Beach, Fl and our friendship continued. I will forever cherish our great memories. You're at home in heaven Chief rest in peace buddy.

I am so humbled by all of your gracious notes. They mean a lot to me and I'm sure my family appreciates it too. He was truly a saint, my hero, my heart. I moved here after my Dad, Jody, died in 2011. I grew up on River road in Allenstown because Papa was so happy to have us there. My greatest memories are from that house, his stories and the time he took to nurture and teach us by making everything fun. He is with God and I know he is okay. Thank you for all your kind words, I'm sure he touched each and every one of your hearts.

Chief Connor gave me my start in 1981 by believing in a 21 year old kid. I remain in law enforcement today and still remember many of the lessons he taught me. He was always there and understanding. I owe him a lot, as do many of the police officers that I have trained over the years. Rest in Peace, Chief.

My husband and I bought the Chief's house on River Rd. when he moved to Florida. The Chief and Barbara were so very nice to us. He use to tell us how much he would miss his N.H. home. He loved the hunting here, but later on he got into the fishing down in Florida. I feel his heart will always be here in good old Suncook N.H.- always.... For the past 15 yrs. he has called me on my b-day (Aug. 24), and this year I didn't get a call. My heart goes out to the rest of the family... You were all very lucky to have such a wonderful man in your lives! God Bless, Tom and Brenda Bohner
