Patrick Lane Obituary

Patrick J. "Packin' Pat" Lane

Concord , NH -

Patrick Joseph Lane of Concord NH passed away suddenly in his home on April 8th. He was born in Seattle Washington October 8,1959. The son of Leo T. Lane and Blanche (Renshaw) Lane, the third of six children. His family relocated to Concord in 1972 where he spent the remainder of his life. At fifteen Pat packed his bags and hitchhiked home to Washington. It was a testament to the determination he showed throughout his lifetime. A defining time in his life filled with treasured memories. He had an adventurous soul and enjoyed life on the road. Pat began working as a teenager and prided himself in the value of a hard days work. Through years of patience and determination he became the best plumber anyone knew. Most notably he was employed at Phillip's Plumbing and Heating for many years.

Pat was one of a kind, an all around great guy! Those that knew and loved him knew he was the most kind, caring, generous and helpful person anyone could ask for. Always jumping to help those in need out of a jam, whether they were family, friend or neighbor. He was a man of great passion, especially when politics and world affairs were on the table and for Pat, anytime was a good time for that talk. He was a social butterfly. The guy who always complained before an engagement but showed up early and always stayed late. He loved meeting people and a good conversation. During his lifetime he always kept in touch with family and friends, regularly reaching out with phone calls or a visit. Not a week went by without someone in the family saying " I just saw so and so and they said they saw Patrick the other day".

Pat found joy in the simple things in life including playing ball with his Boston Terrier Bella, cooking, music, feeding the birds, watering the flowers, mowing the lawn and chatting with neighbors as their dogs played. He was known as the family historian. He loved researching and discovering "where he came from." He was proud of his heritage and would jump at the chance to tell his family what he knew of ancestors that passed long before their birth.

Words cannot express the loss felt by those who loved him. His laughter, jokes, kindness and presence will be forever missed. There is no doubt that Pat entered the pearly gates hoping we would make America great again. Whether you agreed with his views or not he never left anyone questioning where he stood. He was as forward and honest as they come and always up for a good debate. He was a faithful man with a heart of gold. Pat passed with the belief that he would be reunited with his parents and with all those he loved.

Patrick was predeceased by his parents and is survived by the love of his life Faye Allquist and her parents Fraser Sr. and Peggy of Concord NH, his five siblings, Kevin Lane of Sharon VT, Benjamin Lane of Loudon NH, Andrew Lane and his wife Lisa of Concord NH, Cassandra Denoncourt and her husband Peter of Concord NH, Joseph Lane and his wife Megan of Chichester NH, 9 nieces and nephews, his " Uncle" Wilson of Sangerville ME, along with countless dear friends and the greatest joy in his world, his "precious baby girl" Bella.

An open house "potluck" celebration of Patrick's life will be held on Saturday May 25th in Bow NH 1PM-4PM . Contact the family for details.

I recently found out about Pat's passing....what a huge loss
Pat was a wonderful person. And was always ready to pitch in to help others in need
A great friend, an amazing cook, and loved his pets and wildlife, he enjoyed helping Faye out tin their garden and moving his lawn as well as the feild out back, he always stopped by South Street Market to drive up s conversation with Jim, Pat also enjoyed working g on both his pick up trucks
He was a great conversationalist, coffee drinker ( hot of course) and enjoyed grilling and cracking a beer open, you could always find Pat picking up groceries for " tonight's dinner" at the Fort Eddy RD Market Basket
Or making his famous macaroni and cheese for Thanksgiving
He will be forever missed

I was stunned and saddened today by the news of Pat´s passing. Pat was my plumber for over 25 years on our 3 properties. Like someone said he was second to none as far as his plumbing skills and follow up went but more than that he was a dear friend to me and my family. He watched all 4 of my kids grow up and always took the time to chat with them and let them know why we should be proud to be an American and why to vote Republican! LOL! He was one of a kind and had a huge heart. He proud of his Maine roots and would talk with my late wife for hours about God´s Country up there! She loved him, I loved him, my kids loved him and we will all miss him so much. It won´t be the same without his little red pick up truck Elmer pulling up to the house promoting TRUMP! I know you will be rooting for him up there in Heaven to pull it off in November. Love you Pat, will miss you my friend!

We were customers of Phillips Plumbing for years..living in an old, three unit New Englander Pat was part of our crew. He was always smiling, and had a story for us! Even though we no longer own that older home, we have many memories that were made there...and Pat will always be a part of that.

Pat, I hope you knew how much we Lutis enjoyed having you around! Dad liked your pride in your heritage, and listening to your stories...and how you downed that really good single malt! Mum just loved to see you coming and listening to you swear!
You were always right there when we called...saved the day a few times! Thanks for being you...we'll always remember you.

We´ve known Pat for 25 plus years. Pat was an excellent plumber but the dependability and follow thru was beyond his skills. He helped us out for so many " emergency " calls day or night. He even " saved" our Christmas a couple years ago during a power outage.
He loved his country and family and spoke of both often. He often brought Bella to play with our dog while he did a service call.
He will be truly missed.

Pat was one of a kind. Was our plumber for 30 years on 100 rental units. Never let us down, always had his opinion on all issues but a heart of gold. If I call him on a Saturday for a Monday job he would say let´s do it today no extra charge. He always followed up to make sure things were working right. He will be missed but the people in his new world will have endless help with their problems and an entertaining character who will be cherished. Keep packing Pat.

Wow. It seems hard to imagine a world without Packin' Pat . . . From his politics, his comments, his observations, his genealogy researching habits (not just books--"our" Pat would drive down roads near residences his family MAY have owned 200+ years ago--and shout "Hey old man" randomly to obtain info) . . . OMG but we'll miss his stories ("Guess what I did today!??") Give 'em hell, Pat--give John a hug from Dave & I.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I have known Pat for many years through my contact with him via Phillips. He was the best plumber ever but my late wife and I also considered him a dear friend. We once had a spirited political discussion but despite strongly held opposing viewpoints we remained respectful and cordial to one another.
