Paul Thiem, Jr.

Northwood, NH — Mr. Paul F. Thiem, Jr., 82, of Northwood, passed away suddenly at Concord Hospital on October 4, 2021.

Born in Goffstown, Paul was the son of Paul F. Thiem, Sr. of Wakefield, NH and the late Gertrude F. Thiem and step-son of the late Lorraine Thiem. He was raised and educated in Epsom and was a graduate of Coe-Brown Academy. He later enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Paul was the recipient of a Silver Star Servicec Medal for incredible acts of bravery.

Prior to his retirement, Paul was the owner and operator of Paul Thiem Artesian Well Company in Northwood for over 45 years.

He greatly enjoyed collecting antique cars and attending car shows. His love of music spanned from country to music of the 1950s and 60s. Always known as a hard-working man, he greatly cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and was always ready to share a joke.

In addition to his mother and stepmother, Paul was predeceased by his brother, Bernard Joseph (Joey) Thiem.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara A. (Cookinham) Goulart-Thiem; his children: Pamela Shaw of NY, Michelle Thiem and her husband Jerry Boone of Concord, as well as step children, Peter Gomes and his wife Loretta of Epsom, Michael Albert and his companion Jennifer McDonnell of Epsom and David Albert and his wife Jennifer of Concord. He was the grandfather to Alyssa Thiem, Ethan Thiem and his wife Felicia, James Albert, Jake Gomes, David Albert and Chelsea Gomes and the great grandfather to Ryleigh Thiem, Liam Paul Thiem, Oliver and Paisley. He also leaves his sisters, Beverly Stover of AZ, Carol Kelley of TX and Cindy Warren of Concord as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, October 8th from 4 to 6 P.M. in the Still Oaks Funeral & Memorial Home 1217 Suncook Valley Highway in Epsom. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, October 9th at 11 A.M. in the McClary Cemetery, Center Hill Road in Epsom.
