Philip Webster Obituary

Philip Clark Webster

Loudon, NH - Philip Clark Webster passed away on November 15th, 2024. He was a genuinely kind partner, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His tenacity for life and his passion for golf, restoring boats and forging friendships with anyone that had a moment to chat was unrivaled, and left a lasting impact on many he befriended over his lifetime.

Phil was born on December 11th 1952 in Concord New Hampshire. He graduated from Concord High School, attending both New Hampshire College and Merrimack College before enlisting in the United States Army, where he served honorably I West Berlin, Germany. After his service, he worked in the truck equipment business until his retirement in 2015 from HP Fairfield. Before long Phil was disenchanted with the slow pace of retirement, and accepted a role as an Outside Sales Representative for Cohen Steel in Concord NH, where he simultaneously worked and befriended many more colleagues, vendors and customers until his passing. His innate ability to connect with anyone he met made his work a joy to engage in, and he made sure to save plenty of time for golf, working his various boat restoration projects in his garage, and of course, sharing those two passions with anyone who expressed an interest. His extensive knowledge contagious cheer, and vivid storytelling ensured he always had an audience.

Beyond the golf course and his fishing trips, Phil was a beloved partner, brother, uncle and great uncle. He is survived by his partner Clair Crowley, sister Ann Tate and her husband Mike, brother, Peter Webster and his wife Loretta, nephews, TJ and Joe Webster and their wives, and their collective three great nephews and one great niece.

No calling hours or services are scheduled at this time. A celebration of a Life Well Lived will be planned for the spring

Phil was a kind and constant friend who I knew mostly through golf. He was famous for making clutch putts that he´d just shrug off but that could distress his opponent. I will miss his quiet, calm way of living.

Nancy and I have been friends with Phil for many years. We will always remember with great fondness Phil's quiet, friendly and humorous demeanor. Phil always had a twinkle in his eye and was quick to tell entertaining stories about his successes and failures in basketball (he was a high school state champion), fishing and golf. Nancy and I will miss Phil.

I met Phil several years ago (1993) and had the pleasure of doing business with him right up to present. He was a gentleman in all the sense of the word. I could sit and talk with him for hours on end. He will be missed by many. RIP my friend.
