Raymond E. Twombly, Jr.

Salisbury, NH — Raymond Twombly Jr. "Junior" age 69, passed away December 15, 2021 at Concord Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Ray was born May 25, 1952 in New London, New Hampshire to Raymond Twombly Sr. and Raylene (Griswold) Twombly. He graduated from Merrimack Valley High School in 1970. Ray married his wife Cynthia of 47 years on December 28, 1974. He went on to drive truck for Rivco before starting his own business Racin Building and Remodeling, where he worked as a talented carpenter for over 25 years with his son who he passed along the trade to.

Ray is survived by his loving wife Cynthia (Martin) Twombly, son Raymond (Buzz) Twombly III and wife Nikole Twombly, daughter Melisa Madore and husband Matt Madore, grandchildren Ashley Twombly, Abbigail and Emily Porter and Molly McCluskey. Siblings: Billy Braley, Lanna Kirk, Lorraine Ryan, Louanne Theriault, Patti Harmon, and Shelley Edney. Sister-in-law Lisa Lane and brother-in-law Andrew Lane with sister-in-law Juanita Martin, many nieces, nephews, beloved granddogs, family and friends.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Ray. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, gardening, maple sugaring, horseshoes, painting and many family trips to Disney.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours scheduled December 28, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home 143 Franklin Street Franklin, NH with a family burial in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ray to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - LLS Org, Donor Services, PO Box 22324, New York, NY 10087 or givenow.lls.org.

Wow...I am just now finding out about Ray passing. Ray and I were in school together at Merrimack Vally and spent part of our time in the Navy together. So sorry to hear this.
