Robert E. Twombly Sr.

Robert E. Twombly, Sr., 86, passed away on November 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 11, 1939, in Somersworth, NH, he was the son of the late Everett Twombly and Florence (Bridges) Hall.
Robert was a man of many simple joys. He loved a good game of checkers, a lucky day at the Oxford Casino, and could often be found watching his favorite western movies. He also had a deep admiration for antique cars, especially the classic Model A Ford. Above all, he adored his pets-Buddy, Cuddles, and Sinbad-who brought him endless comfort and companionship over the years.
Along with his parents, Robert was predeceased by his son, Robert Twombly, Jr.; brothers, Carlton Bridges, Lawrence Bridges, Lloyd York, and Kenneth Twombly; and sisters, Leona Moody, Elizabeth Drapeau, and Barbara McDonald.
He is survived by his children, Robin Robinson and husband, David, Rose Degraffe and husband, Keith; and Ronald Twombly and wife, Heather, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Eric Smith, Jonathan Smith, Kimberly Robinson, Alan Robinson, Christopher Robinson, Jennifer Robinson, Ashley Robinson, Robert Twombly III, Jeremy Ketchum, Jessica Ketchum, Clayton Stanley, Morgan Twombly, Zac Twombly, and Brady Twombly. He also leaves behind 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy throughout his life.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Tasker Funeral Home, 621 Central Avenue, Dover, NH, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. His urn will be placed at St. Charles Cemetery immediately following the service.
