I went to Lexington High School with Richard. During our friendship, he treated me like a supportive, caring, brother, always looking out for me. We lost touch after graduation yet I always missed the strong and safe presence he carried with him.
We reconnected in 2010. I closed a business and was preparing to move from MA to FL. He saw how much I had on my plate and how overwhelmed I was. Out of the generosity of his heart he offered himself and his son to help me pack.
His son was strong, helpful and extremely polite. I remember thinking, what a great job he did as a Dad. At the end of the day, I went to pay his son for his help but he refused payment saying he did it "for his Dad out of friendship." Like father like son. I was so touched by this kindness.
When I remember Richard, I think of a wonderful friend and a life well lived.
Love you brother,
Patty

We ate at Cafe' Luigi from the day it opened until the day it closed. Richard was a warm and wonderful man. We miss him so much.

I met Richard while we drove for the same company. I had the chance to hang with him outside of work. Richie and I got along instantly and my wife as well. Very sad to hear this news as I know the effect he had on me in less than a year. Even when he was not 100% he wore a smile and always had a joke. Going to miss hearing from him. See you later buddy.
