My Condolences to family and friends. Rick was to me, as he was to many in the tractor pulling circle, a large part of our lives for a number of years. He was in attendance at most pulls, and was host to many at the Ponderosa as well. I had been in contact with Rick, and he has been frequently in my thoughts ever since the day in May when I drove up to Lebanon to visit him. Upon my arrival at the hospital I received a text from him stating simply that it was a bad day.

My deepest condolences to Cindy and their children. I went to school with Rick and always loved his smile. He would always make a point to stop and speak with me whenever he saw me in town. I am so sorry he suffered for so long with his battle.

Rick called me about 14 years ago to see if I could do some lettering and pinstriping on his rigs. He knew what he wanted and he made it clear that I needed to come as close to his old sign mans work as possible. I liked his attitude and sense of humor and we became fast friends.
When we moved away he would call me to make sure we were coming through on our way to Maine and he had plenty of work for us. Rick's Ponderosa was one of our favorite visits on our way up north. It always meant plenty of work and gas money, visits with old friends, stories of tractor pulls, vintage trucks and motorcycles.
While working on unique wheeled objects in his shop I got to hear some of his calls to local politicians and municipal employees, always good for a laugh!
I sincerely hope a monument of Rick is built at the rotary in Epsom on his "useless lot" as a tribute for all that Rick Belanger stood for. May he rest in peace. Geet & Ellen Faulkner.
