Rita Brouillard Obituary

Rita M. Brouillard of 31 Grappone Drive, Concord, died Thursday, April 17, 2014, due to a long illness. She was born on May 6, 1929, in Manchester to Hector and Adrienne Desfosses. She did her schooling in Manchester and very proud to say that she was a graduate student of the Villa Augustina in Goffstown.

Being a hard working woman she was employed by several companies over the years, Beede electric of Boscawen, GE Electric of Hooksett, but her heart and soul was where she gave 10 years of loyal service to until she retired at the age of 80 working in the food service department of St. Paul's School of Concord. She greatly enjoyed the staff, the teachers and the students there, most referring to her as Ms. Rita.

She enjoyed bowling, bingo, embroidery, cooking, traveling, shopping, but most importantly she enjoyed being a mother, and she was one of the best, says her children. She was a woman of high energy and was up to most any activity as long as one of her six children was there by her side. She was a lover of all animals, especially her black cat Peppy, her dog Princess and her birds.
She had three sons: Thomas A. Lucier of Concord, Donald R. Lucier and his partner Paula Whitlock of Concord, and Michael R. Lucier and his spouse Christine Lucier, also of Concord.

She had three daughters: Cathy R. Dumas and her spouse Donald Dumas of Allenstown, Donna M. O'Dougherty and her partner Jason Rich of Boscaween, and Patricia A. Pare' and her spouse Raymond Pare' of Goffstown.

She's survived by her former husband father to her six children Ralph B. Lucier Jr. of Concord.

She is predeceased by her two brothers Joseph H. Desfosses of Hooksett and Raymond Desfosses of Manchester.

She had 13 grandchildren: Brandi Roy, Kristy Tibbetts, April Burke, Matthew Lucier, Katie Lucier, Dena Colledge, Joshua Frost, Lacey O'Dougherty, Tyler Frost, Tristian Parker (deceased), William Paul, Dylan Lucier, Ethan Lucier and 17 great grandchildren.

She had three nephews and six nieces.

She has one surviving sister-in-law Marion E. Desfosses of Hooksett.

Visiting hours will be held at the Bennett Funeral Home in Concord on Monday, April 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter's Church at 12:00 p.m., also of Concord. Following the Mass, Burial will follow at Mt. Calvery Cemetery of Manchester.
