Samantha Leighton Obituary

KEENE – Samantha Lynn Withington Leighton, of Keene, born on Dec. 28, 1999, in Nashua, to Dawn Withington and the late William Leighton, passed away at age 18 on May 16, 2018, in Concord.

She attended Keene High Shool for high school. She was a Sandwich Artist at Subway. Samantha is survived by her brothers, Noah Oakes, Gabriel Oakes, William Leighton Jr., Nathan Withington and Frankie Dow Jr.; sisters, Ashley and Ella Withington; uncle, Donald Withington; and friends, Ari Miller and Isaiah Saxby. She also leaves behind her greatly loved cats, Maxie and Pandha and pet, Pepper the Rat. Samantha loved animals. they flocked to her. She loved arts and crafts, doing make-up and hair. she loved to play the guitar and sing. She had an infectious laugh! She was a member of Free Tibet.

The family invites donations in Samantha's name to National Alliance of the Mentally Ill (NAMI NH) and NH Suicide Hotline (Head Rest).

Friends and family members may attend the celebration of life service, officiated by Pastor Cliff Gleason, on Sunday, June 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Concord Seventh-day Adventist Church, 310 Sheep Davis Road, Concord.

Update today is sammy's prayer vigil at 5 pm 1 Thompson st concord NH I woman my friend knows donated the picnic table. I'm looking for a donation of tuning the community rooms piano and to replace chairs and tables which needed replacing five years ago they need to be tables the are handicapped accessible my church will be holding meetings here and playing the piano this will help me heal celebrating sammy's life

Dear Sammy, I can't belive this is reality. Your smile was contagious. You never let nobody know the struggles underneath because you always worried and cared for others. So many of us are not ready to face this. It wasn't your time you were an amazing person on this earth. I love you Sammy I have your favorite stuff animal you always loved to hug. Don't worry it's in good hands and I know god is taking care of you I'll be home soon and we will meet again.

Samantha was my first born daughter she was such a beutiful woman she lite up the room when she entered she touched so many people here in concord if you fell like helping the family contact the seventh Day Adventist church here in concord If you don't have money please be kind to one another Samantha loved people and loved spending time with the homeless she use to give out water and snacks her greatest gift was forgiveness and she had dreams and goals she loved all her neighborsn the Kennedy building we have 89 apartments everyone of us has been effected by this if you'd like to help people in my building we need our picnic table replaced hoping with a handicap table so everyone can use it
