Sheri LaCasse Obituary

Sheri Lynn (Ingerson) LaCasse

Concord, NH - Sheri Lynn (Ingerson) LaCasse, 61, passed away peacefully in the early morning of September 20th, 2025.

She was born on August 4th, 1964, to Howard and Barbara Ingerson. A lifelong resident of the Concord area (CHS class of 1982), she lived a life full of love, happiness, and commitment to her family right until the end. After high school, Sheri began a professional career that included over 30 years working for the State of NH before retiring in the fall of '24.

In 1984, Sheri married John LaCasse, and the two began a lifelong journey that would serve as the backbone of both their lives. Mother to three sons (Phillip, Nicholas, and Patrick), she devoted her life to raising her boys. A constant presence at the hockey rink and baseball field, nothing brought her more joy than watching her sons and their friends play youth, high school, and college sports.

With her sons grown, Sheri and John remained inseparable, embracing many of their previously shelved hobbies, including countless day trips for concerts, antiquing, and fairs/ festivals throughout New England. After relocating to the South End, she could be found working outside on her lawn, pruning her flowers, and sitting on her front porch, hoping to engage in good conversation with neighbors and friends strolling by.

Beginning in 2018 with the birth of her first grandchild, Sheri embraced her new identity, "Gigi". Whether it was holiday gatherings, vacations to the beach, or the opportunity to watch her grandchildren, nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her family.

Sheri is survived by her mother, Barbara Ingerson; brother, Rob Ingerson; and sister, Melissa Geschwinder. Sons Phil LaCasse and wife, Chelsea; Nicholas LaCasse and wife, Ashley; Pat LaCasse and partner, Amanda Unger. Grandchildren Josephine, Theodora, Jackson, Brady, Penny, and Chase.

A tribute to her life will be held for family and friends on Tuesday, September 30th, from 4-6 pm at The Red Blazer.

Sheri worked with me for a number of years. She was always a delight, very steady throughout life's challenges and embracing of her family's achievements. She doted on her boys and husband, to the envy of many of us, and was always supportive of their choices. I feared she'd get frostbite from all the years at the rink!
Sheri was an incredible loving, caring woman and her presence on this Earth will be missed.

My sweet cousin and first best friend Sheri will be missed! I'm so sorry that I took for granted our time together...always thought there would be more visits to see each other again. This is one of many beautiful pictures of Sheri with all of her Gibson cousins, wearing her favorite color! Praying for her family and friends to remember her always...she loved all of you dearly...

I met Sheri working for the State of NH more than 28 years ago . When we first met, Sheri gave me a small red paper weight that said friends forever and over the years we were. Over the years we would have lunch or text to talk about our Children, grandchildren and retirement. Sheri loved her children and grandchildren so very much. I will miss her and our talks so very much. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.
