Stephanie Harbour Obituary

Stephanie Yvonne Harbour passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, in Concord of a heroin overdose.

She was born on April 27th in 1991 to Carol and Bob Harbour in New London. Stephanie attended both Merrimack Valley and Concord High Schools. Stephanie struggled with addiction most of her adult life, but she also touched hundreds of lives with her laughter and love. Her greatest gift to the world was also her downfall, she loved people with all of her heart, not just a piece of it. Loving that fully earned her the closest and most loyal of friends and family, but it also leaves you open for much heartache. Unfortunately Stephanie never learned a way to cope with that heartache outside of her addictions.

Left behind to remember her light are her mother, Carol Harbour, her father, Bob Harbour, her sister, Kristina Harbour, brother-in-law, Charles Fairfield, brother, Forrest Harbour, her sister-in-law, Evelyn McEwan her nephew, Derek Harbour and her grandmother, Doris Kipe. Missing her are also a motley crew of aunts and uncles and at last count 51 first cousins and innumerable other relations. Not to be discounted are her fiercely loyal friends who she collected everywhere she went.

Her life will be celebrated at a private party hosted by the family on Sunday, Sept. 4, at noon. Please contact Forrest Harbour on Facebook if you want details to attend.

You've been one of my best friends for the better part of 15 years & the lightest beacon in my darkest of times.. i don't have a clue how I'll make it without you. You will forever be in my heart & I know you'll be watching over me & the rest of our clan of misfits for the rest of eternity, after all you did promise you would haunt us. Baby girl, I wish I had the words to say "farewell" but frankly, I dont. I refuse to accept this as goodbye. I know you'll save a place for me, at the throne with the angels. Rest easy until we meet again my love. I'll hold onto the sound of your laugh for always, forever & then some.
STEPHANIE YVONNE; you'll always be my boo.
I love you, & I'm sorry. I promised your mom I would do my best to over come the insanity, I know youll be with me, every step if this journey. I can only hope someday you'll smile down on me proud in knowing that, because of you.. i won. xxo

We are so sad for your loss. She was so sweet caring and special. I met her at Dana's with Bub when she was still a kid 12 years ago. We had a heartfelt talk the last time I saw her was full of positivity. She was loving and helpful to people and children. Thank you for sharing her story in her obit, we will carry her memory with others as we continue to fight this horrible disease.

Krissy, Forrest, and family. It's been many years since we were neighbors. Stephanie was just a baby then, but even then her smile was oh so memorable. Please know we are sending all the love and healing light we have to you all.

I do not know your family, but my brother also lost his 28 year old son six years ago to drugs. I send you strength and comfort as you navigate life without your beloved daughter. I also commend you for sharing her story in her obituary. Only by shedding light on it can we even begin to hope to chase away the darkness for some of the people struggling with addiction. Our deepest sympathy on your unimaginable loss.

I remember meeting Stephanie when she was 16. She immediately became part of our family. she helped us in any way she could and went above and beyond for us numerous times. I will miss our talks and her coming over and just randomly snuggling up to me on the couch. The kids will miss the warden.. That's what we called her when she baby sat. Most of all it will be her presence that we will miss. We will never forget you Stephanie. We love you. Fly high Stephie poo poo.

Stephanie! Always loved your bright, beautiful spirit & soul! Cheerleader, protective friend, drop anything to help a loved one out even if you were experiencing your own inner pain. Lender of may warm smiles when you walked into a room & many laughs! Adopter of your friends as sisters & bro's & their parents as Ma & Dad & you delighted in little children. You just being a delight Yourself! & endearing yourself in the many lives you touched. You are dearly Loved, will be sorely missed, many tears & never will be forgotten. My heart goes out to you & yours. Also bet? You'll look out after your loved ones more fiercely in Heaven than you could in Life. May Peace be with you, baby girl. Rest easy. Godspeed...
